Drivers: 10 Positions Summary of major responsibilities and duties: : | | | | Drive vehicles safely for the transport of authorized personnel, supplies and equipment; | | | Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required; | | | Take care of the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles to include checking oil, water, battery, brakes and tires; perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs through the Dispatch and the Chief GSS; and ensure that the assigned vehicle is kept in good working condition, functional and clean at all times; | | | Ensure that the steps required by traffic rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in an accident; | | | On time, report to supervisor for any faulty devices and vehicle functions. | | | Perform other duties as assigned. | | Qualifications : | | | | Completion of secondary school or equivalent; drivers training with a valid driver’s license is required; | | | A minimum of one year work experience as a driver; safe driving record; | | | Fluency in spoken and written Khmer; Basic English skills are essential; | | | Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles, including vans and other kinds of motorized vehicles and using manual gears as well as automatic transmission; | | | Knowledge of driving rules, regulations, and skills in minor vehicle repairs is advantage; | | | Physical fitness on duty is required. | |
Janitors: 10 Positions Summary of major responsibilities and duties: : | | | | Share responsibility for cleaning interior and exterior of office building (3 level structure consisting of individual offices and work stations, meeting rooms, restroom and reception areas) and courtroom; | | | Sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the floor, individual offices, public corridors hallways, and stairways in the building; | | | Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restore supplies in bathrooms; | | | Clean all appliances like refrigerators, located through the buildings; | | | Empty all waste papers basket or garbage in office buildings; | | | Dust and clean office desks, furniture, equipment, fixtures, windows skills, lamps, reachable appliances, top cabinet; | | | Serve as back up coverage for any member in filing service custodial team during time absence when deemed necessary. | | | Assist in special events or office functions as required and perform other duties as assigned by the Building Planning Supervisor. | | Qualifications : | | | | Completion of primary school is required, secondary school is a plus; | | | A minimum of one year of work experience, performing in the field of janitorial or custodial duties is required; | | | Ability to memorize locations of various types of supply and property items and recognize items by sight and from oral descriptions provided is required; | | | Basic listening and understanding English is advantage. | |
Gardeners: 6 Positions Summary of major responsibilities and duties: : | | | | Share responsibility in team for planting and taking care of overall ground landscaping and gardening in ECCC office buildings and compound. | | | Assist with the routine care of a wide variety of ornamental plants, watering to maintain a superior garden appearance at all times. | | | Fertilize, water, weed, transplant, or thin plants in growing areas. | | | Mow lawns, prune trees, plants and branches, and perform other duties to maintain grounds. | | Qualifications : | | | | Completion of primary school is required, secondary school is a plus; | | | At least one year of experience in gardening methods and tools; | | | Basic listening and understanding English is advantage; | | | Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently is preferred. | |
Greffiers: 3 Positions (for Pre-Trial Chambers) Summary of major responsibilities and duties: : | | | | Assist the Pre-Trial Judge in his day-to-day work in term of both the administrative and procedural functions; | | | Act as a notary for the judge and work closely with legal assistants, investigators, researchers, and analysts in all judicial acts, including examination, search, research, autopsy and court hearings; | | | Ensure all court proceedings and formalities are carried out in accordance with the set rules and procedures; | | | Accompany the Pre-Trial Judge in court proceedings, with discretion and respect for confidentiality, transcribe, and authenticate statements and decisions made in court hearings; | | | Prepare summaries of judicial decisions and disseminate them to all parties concerned; | | | Transcribe appeals decisions and maintain register thereof; | | | Responsible for the preservation of evidence and maintenance of relevant rulings and case files. | | Qualifications : | | | | Completion in University degree of Law or related fields; | | | At least two years experience as a Greffier (court clerk) in a civil court is required; | | | In additional to speaking Khmer, good comprehension in English speaking, reading and writing; | | | Computer MS Word, Power Point or appropriate applications is required; | | | Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of multi-cultural and ethic backgrounds with sensitivity and respect for diversity are preferred. | |
Senior Legal Co-ordinator: 1 Position (for Pre-Trial Chambers) Summary of major responsibilities and duties: : | | | | Manage Pre-Trial Chamber, under the remote direction of the Judges who will be away from duty station; | | | Provide legal support to the Judges and ensure the proper functioning of judicial work of Pre-Trial Chamber; | | | Coordinate and liaise with judges regarding all Pre-Trial Chamber matters and take appropriate actions; | | | Receive all pre-trial appeal notices and prepare case files for all pre-trial hearings; | | | Conduct necessary research into matters under appeal and direction of judges prepare case files; | | | Brief judges upon arrival on case file, research and prepare for a Pre-Trial Chamber appeal; | | | Liaise with the Office of Administration in order to ensure that the requirements of Pre-Trial Chamber are adequately addressed; | | | Perform other related duties as required by judges. | | Qualifications : | | | | Completion of University or Master degree in Law, Humanitarian law or equivalent related fields is required; | | | At least 3-5 years experience in legal analysis, on court research; | | | Fluent in English and /or French in writing, reading and speech is essential; Knowledge of Khmer is asset; | | | Sufficient computer skills in software applications or legal database is preferred; | | | In depth knowledge of national/international criminal law, human rights law is essentials; | | | Ability to identify priority activities and assignment efficiently; good drafting skills for legal submission and court rules; good managerial skills within criminal justice systems; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of multi-cultural and ethic backgrounds with sensitivity and respect for diversity. | |
