ECCC Organize an Outreach Study Tour for 200 University Students from Kampong Cham Province

Today, the Extraordinary of the Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) organizes outreach study tour for 200 university students from Kampong Cham Province. The study tour is to give students a deeper understanding of the atrocities committed during the Dark Ages and to commemorate the victims of that regime.

In this full day study tour, the students receive a wealth of information about the history of the Kampuchea Democratic regime by visiting the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the Killing Field, and Win Win Monument, and information on the trial of former Khmer Rouge leaders which presented by Public Affairs Officer of the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.

The ECCC outreach study tour is organized weekly for students, youth, and the public, as part of the remembrance and participation in preventing the return of the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge regime.

Since the first court proceedings until January 2023, more than half a million national and international public have participated in the outreach study tours under the coordination and organization of the Public Affairs Section of the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.
