Mr. Ieng Phan told the Trial Chamber he joined the Khmer Rouge army at the the age of 18 in 1970, following the public call from Norodom Sihanouk.
LONG Sat
The witness joined the revolution as a soldier in 1970 because the late King Sihanouk told his people to do so.
