Nun Huy

Alias : HUY Sre, Comrade Huy1

NUN Huy (1951-1978) was member of the S-21 Committee responsible for S-24 (Prey Sar), a satellite of S-21 located to the south of Phnom Penh used for re-education. He was arrested on Nuon Chea’s orders, detained in the special prison section at S-21, and subsequently executed.

Key Findings

The Trial Chamber in Case 001 and Case 002/02 found that Nun Huy:
  • Worked under Duch’s authority. 6
  • Managed the functioning of S-24 and oversaw its day-to-day operations. 7
  • Reported regularly to Duch regarding operations at S-24, including on detainees’ work regimes and the identity of those sent from S-24 to S-21 or Choeung Ek. 8
