Internships with OCP

The OCP internship program offers law students and young professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy international criminal law office. Interns make a significant contribution to the judicial process at the ECCC and further develop their legal skills in a unique, multicultural setting.

Because the OCP is involved in all phases of all cases at the ECCC, OCP interns engage in a wide variety of tasks at multiple stages of the judicial process. Some of the main tasks include analysing evidence to build criminal cases, drafting legal and factual written submissions, and attending court proceedings when in session. The OCP also runs learning and development initiatives for interns such as career talks, international criminal law seminars, and a mock trial advocacy training in the courtroom of the ECCC.

The OCP internship program is available to current or recent graduates of an undergraduate or postgraduate law degree. For Cambodian nationals, a stipend funded by the Australian Embassy is offered to support them during their OCP internship.
