Judge Olivier Beauvallet

Initially assigned as reserve co-investigative judge ( June 2012), Olivier BEAUVALLET took his duties as a judge in the Pre-Trial Chamber in April 2015.

He was previously a prosecutor within the Special investigative Task Force and before within special prosecution office of the EULEX mission in Kosovo.

He was then in charge of various cases related to organized crime, war crimes or terrorism. Previously investigative judge in France, he served lately in a special court for organized crime set in French west indies (Special court for organized crime in Fort-de-France).

He participated in various international projects in the Balkans, Africa and Central Asia. Juris Doctor (EHESS Paris), Olivier BEAUVALLET has authored various books and articles both in criminal and international criminal law and heads the Traité Pratique de l’Instruction, a treaty about investigative judges’ practice.

He leads various trainings and seminars in the Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature (National Judiciary School) and in Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris).
