The Court Report August 2009

The August 2009 issue of the Court Report features information on the appointment of Mr. William Smith as acting international Co-Prosecutor. Mr. Smith will replace Mr. Robert Petit from 1 September 2009. The total number of people attending the trial in Case 001 has now reached 20,250 people since it commenced on 30 March, which makes a daily average of 311 visitors. Khmer Mekong Films has also brought the trial to millions of viewers in Cambodia through its weekly programme, "Duch on Trial: Time for Justice". Each episode provides a summary of the trial and focuses on making court proceedings more accessible to the general public.
