The Court Report September 2012

The 52nd issue of The Court Report focuses on the fitness for  trial two-day hearing concerning Ieng Thirith that took place on 30-31 August before the Trial Chamber. It presents the medical experts' conclusions regarding co-accused's health which indicated her condition worsened despite the further medical treatment administered over the past six months, as well as general information on the notion of fitness for trial. The Court Report also features the various events that took place in the course of August, including the Trial Management Meeting and the testimonies that were heard within the proceedings of Case 002. ECCC outreach activities, from the civil parties'  forum organised by the Victims'Support Section in Siem Reap to official delegations' visits, are described, along with the monthly judicial updates from each section of the Court.
