<div><b>Article 2 Criminal and Civil Actions</b></div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp; Criminal and civil actions are two separate kinds of legal actions.</div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp; The purpose of a criminal action is to examine the existence of a criminal offense, to prove&nbsp;the guilt of an offender, and to punish this person according to the law.</div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp; The purpose of a civil action is to seek compensation for injuries to victims of an offense&nbsp;and with this purpose to allow victims to receive reparation corresponding with the injuries they&nbsp;suffered.</div><div><br></div>
