<div><b>Article 2 Criminal and Civil Actions</b></div><div><br></div><div> Criminal and civil actions are two separate kinds of legal actions.</div><div> The purpose of a criminal action is to examine the existence of a criminal offense, to prove the guilt of an offender, and to punish this person according to the law.</div><div> The purpose of a civil action is to seek compensation for injuries to victims of an offense and with this purpose to allow victims to receive reparation corresponding with the injuries they suffered.</div><div><br></div>
