Official Court Holidays for 2024

For UNAKRT staff: Subsequent to UN Country Team's endorsement, the UN Official Public Holidays for 2024 for the United Nations system in Cambodia have been designed as follow: 

1/    01 January (Monday) (Sunday) (International New Year's Day) 

2/    10 April (Wednesday) (Eid al-Fitr)

3/     15 April (Monday) (Khmer New Year) 

4/    16 April (Tuesday) (Khmer New Year)

5/    17 June (Monday)- in lieu of 16 June (Eid al-Adha)  

6/    1 October (Tuesday) (Pchum Ben)

7/    2 October (Wednesday) (Pchum Ben)

8/    14 November (Thursday) (Water Festival) 

9/    15 November (Friday) (Water Festival)

The UN staff members are entitled to 10 official UN holidays annually.

In accordance with the UN General Assembly resolution 69/250 and 72/19, it was decided to allow one floating holiday per calendar year for staff to observe any one of the eight floating holidays or one the public holidays designated by the host country.

Staff members should inform their supervisors in advance as early in the year as possible of the floating holiday they wish to observe. Managers are to respect the floating holiday chosen by the staff member.


The national staff of ECCC will observe the following public holidays announced in the sub-decree ២៣០ ​អនក្រ.បក issued by the Royal Government of Cambodia on 07 August 2023:

Note: holidays failing on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) will not be carried forward to the next working day. ECCC staff will not observe official holidays of UN, as listed above.
