At the end of the Co-Prosecutors closing statements on 21 October 2013, national Co-Prosecutor Chea Leang requested the Trial Chamber to convict Khieu Samphan and Nuon Chea for alleged crimes against humanity and impose the maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
