Poulo Wai Hotel, Phnom Penh – On 07 December 2023, Senior Management Officer of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), H.E. Thaung Socheat participated in the Annual Human Rights Conference 2023 on the theme of 75th Anniversary of the Genocide Convention: Cambodian, Regional and International Perspectives organized by Raoul Wallenberg Institute (RWI).
In the afternoon session of the Conference, H.E. Thaung Socheat delivered a presentation about the ECCC Resource Center. Next, he was invited to join a penal discussion with other speakers that he had a chance to interact with participants (Q&A) and elaborated more on the legacies and achievements of the ECCC and works related during a residual phase.
The ECCC Resource Centre consists of six components: (1) a library and research hub, (2) a new website which is being updated and upgraded in an innovative way, (3) a digital and hard copy archive in line with international standards, (4) a multi-purpose venue for organizing workshops and moot courts, (5) a consultation and exhibition venue, and (6) a remembrance and reflection space.
