The survey result of Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) shows that the study tours organized by the ECCC are important for young generations. According to the respondents, the ECCC study tours provide additional knowledge on the trial of Khmer Rouge senior leaders and the bitter history of the Khmer Rouge regime through presentations by relevant officials and visits to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum, Cheong Ek Genocide Centre, and Win Win Memorial.
The survey was conducted online from 15 February 2023 to 6 April 2023 for anyone who participated in the ECCC study tour program. From 15 February to 6 April 2023, there were 3,430 youth, students and teachers participated in the study tours organized by the Khmer Rouge Tribunal while 1,527 people responded in the ECCC online survey.
