Mr. Laurent Kasper-Ansermet
Judge Laurent Kasper-Ansermet was appointed as Reserve Co-Investigating Judge on 1 December 2010.
He resigned from his position effective 4 May 2012.He has most recently been a member of the Swiss Expert Pool for Civilian Peace (PEP) where he advised the Prosecutor’s office in the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL).
Prior to this he served as the Head of the Paris office for the Inquiry Commission into the United Nations Oil-For-Food Programme. Judge Kasper-Ansermet has more than 18 years’ experience serving as a prosecutor, investigating judge and a judge in Geneva, Switzerland focusing particularly on complex financial crimes and corruption.
He has also several years of experience in the banking sector after obtaining a law degree from the University of Geneva in 1978.
